Last year, Susanne Miller Jones challenged quilters to create a quilt in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of man’s walk on the moon. In addition to quilts about the Apollo missions and astronauts, the quilts could celebrate the moon in all its aspects in literature, science, myth and popular culture.
My quilt, Moonflower, was one of almost 180 quilts juried into the Fly Me to the Moon exhibition:
It’s an amazing collection of quilts! I’m honored to be part of a group of such talented and diverse quilters and in awe of Susanne’s vision in creating this exhibition.
