Based on a photo I took of a redwinged blackbird in a local park, Huntley Meadows County Park (in Fairfax County, VA). The male blackbirds pose on the cattails, showing off their colors for the benefit of the ladies. Part of a series of nature-inspired quilts I’m doing based on photos I’ve taken.
